You can view test results in your GP health record using the NHS App or by logging into your account on the NHS website.
You can create an account if you do not already have one.
To view your test results online, you must be:
- registered with a GP surgery
- aged 16 or over
When you create an account, you’ll need to prove your identity before you can view your test results. This helps keep your information secure.
Test results information
Test results (e.g. blood, urine, X-rays) usually arrive at the surgery within 1-2 weeks. Some may take longer. Once received, doctors review results within 5 working days. If a result is urgent, the lab will contact the surgery, and a doctor will take action. If you haven’t been contacted, your result is likely not urgent.
How to check results
- The NHS App is the best way to check your test results, including the doctor’s analysis.
- If your results aren’t visible on the NHS App, or if you’d like to talk them through in more detail, please get in touch with the surgery by completing our online form.
Important notes
- Reception cannot give test results over the phone.
- For help signing up for the NHS App, please ask a member of the reception team.
- If you don’t have internet access, please contact reception for assistance with confirming your results.
