Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group is the largest clinically-led commissioning organisation in England.

It was officiated by NHS England on 1 April 2018, following a merger of NHS Birmingham CrossCity CCG, NHS Birmingham South Central CCG and NHS Solihull CCG.

They are responsible for buying health services for 1.3 million people in Birmingham and Solihull, and their budget is around £2 billion.

Their ambition is to ensure the best possible and world class healthcare outcomes for everyone in Birmingham and Solihull, whilst upholding their values as a CCG.

Their priorities are to:

  • Tackle and reduce health inequalities.
  • Rebalance investment in health care from crisis management to prevention and early action.
  • Achieve closer integration between health and social care.
